even more birthdays.. ha

my brain is kinda feeling v lazy, esp after it has been working so hard cramming random bits of information in.. so dun expect me to write anything of literary value ;)

anyhow.. its been so many birthdays this year.. guess its the year of the 21st so.. there will be many.. more recently were mag and cm.. well, as cm is still under house arrest due to his recent illness, he had a small gathering at his place for his birthday! his bed btw, is v, unconventional. its almost like a hospital bed and the mattress can be electronically controlled and made to incline to varying degrees and even shapes! too bad it could crush him.. :p it was only a large v at its max.

was nice to be to cm's place again after so many years.. couldn't quite remember how it looked like previously sadly.. haha. his niece is kinda cute.. she just refuses to look at any guys! so shy.. she'd turn away and when u walk up to her face, she just looks down or buries it in her grand ma's shoulder! haha

this was at mag's birthday.. it was at her brother's house.. quite an interesting place to stay really, funky! though i must say i'd die there, without aircon and toilets with see thru blinds.. lol

was rather crowded and somewhat difficult to catch pix.. so these were the best shots of mag and the cake.. :p


and of course, our class photo! aaron still hasn't learnt how to smile despite much training in NZ.. oh well.. ;)

movies stimulate my eyes

its been many movies lately.. i've caught 300, The Lifes of Others, Volver and The Pursuit of Happyness last week.. :) well, i'd say tt all the movies were good, but i rather enjoyed the 2 foreign films more than the english ones.. Penepole Cruz was really good in Volver, and the story, though not v elaborate was cohesive enough. 300 was just a plotless film, of sweaty gleaming bodies and abs galore, with a few titties thrown in for good measure. The Pursuit of Happyness had a great theme, a heart warming story, and a cute little boy to boot in Will Smith's son.. was a lil too long for me, but still a v enjoyable and inspirational story.. lastly, The Lifes of Others tells us about the East German government, how their 'State Security' functions.. the inescapable network of knowledge they have, tt is knowledge on what YOU are saying and doing, and they come knocking on your door the moment you badmouth the government/state.. it is also about how this man turned soft, and let up on the hard and fast principals he had been sticking by. i'm not so sure he found his brains in a way, but i tend to think tt perhaps, he was just intrigued by what other people were doing because of his cold and rigid lifestyle, and soon got sucked into voyeuring other's lifes, and eventually, i guess he saw the light. well, it is scary what the state security does, and i hope tt we never encounter such a thing ever.. :X

other stuff i've been up to.. well, just shopping, and law bash. hmmm, tt was not a totally enjoyable experience.. haha, but well, at least it was merely $11.. ;) there's a shot of me, anna, yingling, aud and ian in my car.. :)

haha, yes, anw, it was a tuesday nite, and it was soo uncrowded, hence it was hard to get the dancing going.. not to mention, the pageant contestants were CMI! haha, well well, more bad publicity for law bash.. die, i think next year, no one will be going.. :P

happiness post CAs :)

yes, its been post CAs, and i've just been enjoying myself going out out and OUT! haha.. thursday itself, i blew $200+ in a hour shopping.. haha, buying all things white.. thrilling feeling i must give you tt.. :) after tt, headed down to the IT fair to spend even more mula.. wow, so many gadgets there.. fun to see.. however, it was soo crowded and squeezy, as it is always.. haha

fri was the sun and the surf and sea on the little island of sentosa.. which costs $2 to get in per car/person. hmmm, but the weather was just fantastic!! i'm now lobster red, tt is, after its been cooked thanks to the useless SPF 8 lotion.. thankfully i used SPF 30 for my face.. ;) it was a pretty much lazy day, just lying around on th beach reading books, and waddling around in the seawater, so cool to touch, great relief from the scorching hot sun.. :) pple watching, and sipping ice cold slurpies.. wow, what a great relaxing afternoon.. i wish i can have many of those.. its been such a long time since i did this at my pool as well.. haha.

after tt, we had avocado milkshake at alexandra village.. yummy! in the evening, went to tiong bahru plaza for dinner.. such an unhappening place i conclude! nothing to shop, and the arcarde sucks.. me and gary took forever to find a place to eat.. :X after which, we promptly left and went bugis to have dessert.. it was at this place called ice monster.. the portions are so generous.. and the mangoes so sweet! YUM! haha, and apparently, there are many nice desserts, i shall go back there one day to try those i didn't.. :P

today was tennis day! yippee.. what a great day.. more nice weather, and i finally won a match.. wow. and i played a good solid match, and i won!! YAY. its been a while.. but my fitness is still in such a deplorable state.. :X hmmm, after tt, went to vivocity to catch 300. wah lao, i feel so bad.. i scolded this guy cuz i told him my movie is at 4, and its already 350, and i said how come it takes so long to collect the internet booking tix.. then he said i'd probably get it by 4, and i was rather rude and chided him tt it is ridiculous and they should be faster.. and i got my tix a few mins past 4.. sooo... i feel a lil bad now.. haha!

but anw, back to the movie.. it was quite a visual spectacle.. all the slow mos, fighting scenes, and great scenery.. :) and of course, all the ripped bodies and boobies flashing everywhere.. LOL. and the fighting scenes.. this movie is truly for its visuals.. a real treat for the eyes whichever way you look at it.. but plot wise.. hehe.. almost none ;)

then i had dinner w my family at GO INDIA! wow.. the indian food there is really good.. really enjoyed the nans and the rotis.. haha, and definitely the lamb and chicken... its a lil ex though.. but otherwise, v yummy :)

finally, capped off a long long day with KTV w al, shi n gary.. haha, sang like a madman today.. maybe letting out all those pent up cries for freedom during tt arduous exam period? no idea.. but yay yay yay! :) enjoy yrselves guys... its fun to be having fun

was pumping petrol the other day, and the Esso pump in hv sucks.. no one to help u out.. so i had to do it for the first time! haha.. well, so as i was waiting for the tank to fill, i decided it'd be interesting to take the nozzle out a lil to see what it was like, and lo and behold, pink liquid spurted out onto the floor and onto me! LOL. yeah so petrol is a cool pink.. and evaporates real fast. haha.

and yeah, last sunday was yuan's 21st.. :) was an err, interesting mix of pple there yes. first party of the year which i knew so few pple and felt a lil out of place.. but well, it was ok. so here's some photos from downtown east.. dunno what's tt pose for, but he looks happy!

and yay, CAs 3.1-3.3 are over.. 3.4 left then a month later it'd be the pros.. i think i've become rather desensitized to exams now.. we take studying in our stride now, mixing it with our own normal daily routine.. maybe we've to cut down a little play time, and slp time, but i think its almost become a normal day otherwise.. never would i have been able to foresee this happening last year..
